According to The Daily Star, "...the authority of the rahbar goes against the traditional system through which Shiite society chooses its leader." (as quoted at http://www.newsy.com/videos/iran_s_power_struggle) I'm curious if the protesters got everything they wanted what the new Iran would look like. Would it have open elections, or would it simply be a different dictator? The quote seems to imply that the ideal result would be reformation of the Constitution to implement Shi'ite law and reduce the rahbar's power, possibly resulting in a freer Iran.
