I'm sure your parents are hard working postal workers, but I am sure, if they are honest, they will agree that the postal "model" is a disaster. This stems largely from TOTAL lack of competition. The BEST of what this country has produced has ALWAYS come about from free enterprise and competition. You may not be old enough to remember how lousy and expensive phone service was when ATT monopolized it. I sure do. And I can tell you that the service is MUCH better and cheaper now that there are many companies to choose from. As for that socialized medicine thing you think will be great. We know lots of Canadians (including 2 who would be dead if they hadn't crossed the border for medical care), Many Canadians who can afford it buy U.S. health insurance in the even they can't wait for Canadian care as a back p plan. We certainly need change, but this plan is NOT thought out. As for boycotting Whole Foods who employs lots of hard working people, that's just wrong. If their business is disrupted, they may have to lay off people. Who would that help?

That settles it, I need to find one of the Whole Foods stores and do some shopping. This boycott is so ridiculous.

How many times must the postal service be compared to government healthcare? It has been disproved again and again. Comparing the 2 is like comparing apples to oranges. First of all the USPS is not government managed just because United States is in the name just like Federal Express in not "Federally managed". My mother and father both work for the post office and I have worked there also. Second USPS has to compete with UPS, FEDEX and others. Health care would not be the same. There would be no competing hospitals. Imagine if all of those people working for FEDEX and UPS were working for USPS?.......NO MORE LONG LINES BECAUSE OF LACK OF WORKERS AND LESS PROFITS!!! Also the fact that waiting in line to send a letter is not the same as waiting for healthcare. If people were dying waiting in line at the post office it would be corrected I assure you. If the USPS was in the healthcare field it would have a different business model just like a shoe company and newspaper company would be run differently.

If people don't agree with the social and political beliefs of representatives (especially someone so high up) of a company they have the right not to support said company with their money and also have the right to free speech (which you just mentioned), which allows them to voice their opinion to others. Corporate money pulls the strings of our government republican and democrat. Who do you think has more ability to sway the actions of government officials? The man on the street or the corporate tycoon with deep pockets? That's why people must join together and fight for what they believe in so as not to be silenced by corporate giants with more care for the bottom line than for what is morally right.

Mackey made Whole Foods' bed for it, so now he and the company can sleep in. Express yourself all you want, Mr. Mackey, but you won't be doing it on my dime, or hundreds of thousands of others' either, anytime soon! God bless America, including its misguided right-wingers!

I might start going the whole foods again. I don't understand why you should boycott a business because the owner disagrees with you politically. Seems rather strange to do that.

Why not just shop somewhere else?

What happened to freedom of speech? Are all these pro Obama healthcare protesters guaranteeing his plan will be better? Try visiting a government run post office and get used to your medical care being run the same way. We have a new Whole Foods opening in our neighborhood and I will be first in line to help support their business. By the way, a business which is generating good, desparately needed neighborhood jobs and taxes. Independence, employment, hard work and JOBS are going to get us out of this economic mess, NOT bailouts and ridiculous HUGE government spending . And by the way, I have to pay way too much for my own health insurance and it isn't easy, but I STILL don't think his plan is the right one.

Since most rightwingers shop at Aldi's or CUB so they can buy more ammo before Obama takes their guns I wonder who's gonna buy that $30 a lb. salmon pate?!@#$

What a crock! Since when are we not all entitled to our own opinions and beliefs, and since when does the constitution not protect our right to express them? Nobody has a right to disrupt this business because they disagree with the owner!
