I completely agree with your point, in term of the even greater economic divides fueled by globalization. You can even see it in a tangible physical form as the barriers, the gates and armed guards defending the wealthy in their exclusive gated communities. Please Angel, next time you write a comment, do not use caps only, it is not enjoyable for our readers. But again, great points!

I FOUND THE ARTICLE INTERSTING AND IMPRESSIVE ENOUGH TO CATCH OUR ATTENTION EASILY.HOWEVER ONE THING THAT MERCIER FORGOT IS THAT,TODAY THE WORLD IS NOT ONLY DIVIDED BY PHYSICAL FENCES AS IT IS THERE IN WEST BANK OR GAZA OR EVEN US-MEXICO BORDERS.
BUT IN MORE SEGREGETING AND POLARIZING ECONOMIC FORCES OF GLOBALISATION.
ONE THING THAT MR BOKOVA HAS RELLECTANT TO ADRESS IS THE DIVISION OF CONTEMPORARY WORLD IN TO THE HAVE'S AND HAVE NOT'S .THE WOREST SIDE OF GLOBALISATION IS NOT CREATION OF UNIFORM PEOPLE ALONG STANDARDIZED WESTERN CULTURE BUT ITS MOTIVES OF DIVIDING THE WORLD MORE THAN EVER IN ECONOMIC TERMS.A TRULY GLOBALISED WORLD NOT ONLY ELIMINATING PHYSICAL BARRIERS BUT ALSO THE MOST NAKED AND BRUTAL EXPLOITATION THAT LEGALISED THROUGH THE WORLD ECONOMIC STRUCTURE.
