Immigration Reform Could Be The Answer To The Question: Can You Govern?

Comprehensive immigration reform cannot be passed by the Democrats alone. It has always been an issue that required some level of cooperation between the parties. While many think that rules out any action this year given the state of inter-party relations, it is also the perfect test for Washington. Voters want to know if their leaders in Washington can govern and immigration reform provides an avenue to show they can. It won’t be easy, but the path forward was demonstrated in 2006 when the Senate passed immigration reform. Both parties have a stake in doing it again.

Cable Clash: Beck vs. Maddow

Glenn Beck had the audacity to call Rachel Maddow an “alarmist,” “purveyor of propaganda” and a “liar” after the liberal cable host took on Beck and other fright wingers attacks against global warming in the wake of last week’s historic snow storm. The liar label pushed the mild-mannered Maddow over the edge and she lambasted the Beckster in a compelling segment on last Tuesday’s show.
