The Problem clearly exposed. Sheet. So right.

"As a consequence the internet as proven to be a generally more effective at disseminating disinformation than information. Because it works within existing networks it can strengthen and facilitate the actions of a healthy progressive movement, but -->not substitute for it, nor create it.the real culprit is the entire value set and our way of understanding how we can and should live<--."

Right on the money, Bill.

"We need to educate ourselves about the possibilities that we have not even conceived and begin to build the structures and processes that will allow us to implement the broader range strategies and tactics that will get us where we want to go."

Nothing will change if we don't change ourselves. Sounds good, but will hurt, honey. So beware, prepare, share, and LET'S CHANGE ALL THIS.

"A less obvious consequence of public mobility is that people are not bonded to place"

Our place is our topos, the topos is the place of the body, not a place for the body, and our topos is vitally interconnected with the topos of the planet. Our topos is in the earth, and the earth is our situs mundi.

At this point, like it or not, our relation is no longer actively managed in a certain local relation network, with the rest of the world taken as an amalgamation, a collective other, our interface is planetary and interplanetary, we are in a planetary civilization and we have to think ourselves in web with the planet, not forgetting that our planet is a living planet, and if the planet dies, we die with it. This is about ontos-in-web and ethos-in-web.

As for Virilio, Virilio has his own perception of the things, and perspective. One thing is how we would like things to be, another is what things are..., our interface of survival has expanded, for the better and for the worse.

It is an irrecusable fact that the problems that we face are planetary. Dromology is an enactive notion, towards effectivenesses of urgency, such that, if we wish to survive, we need to incorporate these types of notions in our adaptive schemata...

How about they stop with the lies and drop the "ends justify the mean's" mentality. Everyone knows climate change is bunk, nothing but hype. But what is real and does effect people is toxic waste pollution, smog in CITIES and highway's(if you ever walk a semi-major stretch of road you know to hold your breath if a big truck goes by).

Heck if global warming was real I would think deforestation would have a bigger role then anything else.

It is not that people don't care about the environment, we just don't like to be lied to. And no one can say environmentalist's didn't lie through their teeth about climate change. That is real denial.
