Harry Reids Wife And Daughter In Major Car Accident
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-NV) wife of over 40 years Landra and their daughter Lana Barringer were in a major car accident this evening. According to reports, Landra suffered a broken back, neck, and nose. Lana has an undisclosed neck injury and serious facial lacerations.
Their minivan was heading northbound on I-15 in Virginia in dense traffic. They were rear ended by a tractor-trailer driven by Alan W. Snader, and sandwiched between this and the stopped traffic ahead. Both were rushed by ambulance to Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va. Mr. Snader was uninjured and charged with reckless driving.
The Huffington Post reports, “Reid, D-Nev., went to the hospital after being notified of the accident and returned to Capitol Hill for a meeting with White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on efforts to pass health care legislation. He went back to the hospital Thursday evening.”
