Bull. The link you provided is right about the Tea Party being hijacked, although with all due honesty they were never really big before Santelli, Freedomworks, and corporate astroturf started moving in anyways.

However, a brief mention of a ‘coffee party’ from libertarians does not mean that they actually started the movement, and that it was hijacked. This is a spontaneous generation, and by nature grassroots. Take a step back from Alex Jones once in a while, you might find it pleasant.

Count me IN… I ran for President in 2008 as a write in candidate on the basic values, principles and premises The Coffee Party seems to have adopted… I’m retired Navy, a Child and Family Therapist by trade, and I just turned 70… Do you have any need of a borderline burnout with questionable social skills???

I will tell you what the coffee party is, it is a bunch of B.S. read their mission statement. We recognize that the federal government is not the enemy of the people, but the expression of our collective will, and that we must participate in the democratic process in order to address the challenges that we face as Americans. So is that why the government, CNN, and HuffPo call us nasty and disgusting terms? They do not represent the collective will, except maybe a minority of commies in the country! Look at the pictures, see how few people there are? That is because this is staged by the liberal media. I bet they were paid to show up! At least the Tea Party are real people. If the governent does not want to be known as the enemy, then stop acting like it! Trying to break the constitution to ram that health crap bill down our throats shows me that everyone that is for it and votes for it is the enemy of the country! Notice you do not hear the lamestream media discussing how UNCONSTITUTIONAL it is what they are planning to do by voting on a rule that deems it was passed. That is treason, and they should be convicted as such.
