If The Earthquake Didn’t Kill Them, The Rain Will

The living conditions at tent cities in Haiti are a cause for real alarm. Rain has fallen across the country, converting the ground at tent cities into mud where adults, children, and the elderly are forced to live.

As representatives from 100 countries are set to attend the International Donors Conference Towards a New Future for Haiti in New York tomorrow, the earthquake’s survivors face the reality that another quake won’t kill them, but that disease created by lack of humane sanitation, mosquitoes and flies, will.

This video was posted by Adam Stofsky; his camera was able to capture for us the chaotic circumstances that people find themselves in. Images of the mud, the lack of shelter, the long lines to the toilet, and the faces of the children will certainly move you.
