Sharron Angle Campaign Documents Tell A Different Story

by Guest Columnist Bryan Lynn

Recently filed FEC “Report of Receipts and Disbursements” that covers the period of 4/1/10 to 5/19/10 by the Friends of Sharron Angle campaign committee paint a very different picture from what she is saying on the campaign trail about herself and about her opponent Harry Reid.

Quoted from an interview with Jon Ralston:

“After she had criticized Reid during the primary race for not doing enough to bring jobs to Nevada, Ralston challenged Angle when she was later quoted as saying it is not the responsibility of a U.S. Senator to create jobs, instead the task belongs to state government.”

This is something that her campaign believes in and practices. According to Schedule B “Itemized Disbursements”. The campaign committee spent only $23,729.91 in the state of Nevada to businesses in non-media purchases. $2,400.00 of that $23,729.00, the committee paid in rent, that was then donated back to them by the company. The campaign committee did spend $178,827.62 out of state to businesses with 95% of that total in and around Washington D.C./Virginia and owes an additional $170,620.13 to those same firms from previous purchases not included in this filing.

From her campaign’s Web site:

“Sharron Angle believes we must close the loopholes in the campaign finance system while requiring immediate disclosure of contributions, via the Internet.”

The PAC Tea Party Express bought $258,752.00 worth of advertising and the PAC Club for Growth bought an additional $277,211.00 spending $208,000.00 of the $277,211.00 in one day, during the period of the FEC filing. Are these the loopholes that she is referring to, but using none the less?

From her campaign’s Web site:

“Angle benefits from overwhelming generosity from grassroots, small-dollar donors.”

An analysis of the “Itemized Receipts” reveals that donations from Nevada were $45,221.50, out of state donations were $61,260.50, and another $184,222.51 in donations were classified as “Unitemized” This is not a grassroots effort when the three PACs spent $536,263.00 and her donations were only $290,704.51.

From her campaign’s Web site:

“The fastest way to get the economy moving again is to cut spending.”

As of May 19, 2010, her campaign had spent $1,121,479.74 and is $38,601.54 in the hole.

“Do as I say, not as I do” seems to be the mantra of this campaign.

This poll does not even take into account the latest God conversation comment. Sharron Angle just makes wacky comments. She hid from MSM and even on friendly conservative media she can’t help shooting herself in the foot. Dems outnumber Rep by more than 60,000. The local Dem party has an excellent ground game. The local Republicans are in disarray and many prominent Republicans refuse to endorse Angle. Harry will win by at least 5 come November possibly more depending on what comes out of Angle’s mouth next.

Hiding from the MSM seems to be a trait with certain Tea Party members. I can think of 3 of them right off.

I wonder where all that money is coming from.

Why does Harry hide from MSM except only once in a while come out and lie saying no illegal aliens live in Nevada. Talk about STUPID!

Harry Reid has been around for 100 yrs and we all know very well where he stands. What is Sharron Angle so very afraid of? I was embarrassed to see her running after her ”press conference” the other day. Agree to a debate Angle! Your slogan is ”Help is on the way” but we can’t ask any questions and you run away at your own press conference?? What are you hiding?

Sharron Angle is not only stupid, she’s dangerous. She has no idea what she is doing & she can’t even run a campaign, much less a state. It’s ”God’s plan” for her to run? Remember the last bimbo who said that? She lost, Thank God and this crazy witch will also.
