VIDEO: Will America Really be ‘TeaWitched’ at the Ballot?
Christine, Carly and Meg, oh my! The 2010 election season is scarier than a Halloween film festival.
The Tea Party seems to curry a certain reverse Mensa snobbery–the lower the IQ, the crazier the ideas–the more mojo the campaign generates. But Americans aren’t really desperate and short-sighted enough to ditch the common good for a party whose password is “NO!,” and whose candidates’ dubious backgrounds are matched by their extreme ideas. Or are they?
Progressives, liberals, moderates: it’s time to mobilize. Time to put our disappointments aside and get out the vote. There are still so many races in play, hanging on to at least the House ( and maybe even the Senate) is not so far-fetched.
Then again, the reality of high Tea Season on Capitol Hill should be enough to brew up some true voter agitation in 2012!
