Days Of Rage Across The Middle East: Videos

As the Day Of Rage hits, the pro-democracy demonstrations across North Africa and the Middle East are intensifying. The battle for freedom in Tunisia and Egypt has been been somewhat resolved for the moment, although there are other protests increasing in magnitude in countries such as Bahrain, Libya, Algeria, Iran, Yemen, Iraq, and one is planned for Morocco.

The governmental responses in each case has a general pattern: imprisoning protest leaders, restricting freedom of the press, and constricting/shutting down internet access. There are varying degrees of violence used by the authorities and ultra-conservative reactionary groups such as the Basij in Iran. For many of these protests, whether they come into focus or not seems to vary on the oppressiveness of the regimes in power, the duration of the length of office of their leaders, and the general economic conditions.

Morocco (planned protests on Sunday, Feb. 20th)

Editors note – there was a technical problem where some of the videos were erased (wordpress/youtube issue). That should be resolved now.
