US Drone Attacks are the Cause for Pakistan’s Rapprochement to China

The relations between Pakistan and the United States have been tense for a while. Since President Obama took office, his administration has dramatically ramped up military operations in Pakistan especially the illegal- by any national sovereignty standards- drone attacks. In 2011 alone, more than 65 drone attacks were conducted in Pakistan. This has amplified Pakistanis hostility towards America. Logically, Pakistan is now seeking closer ties with China.

“This rapprochement of Pakistan to China shouldn’t surprise anybody in Washington. It is very logical, and is also a historic alliance going back to the 60s and the 70s when the USSR was backing up India,” said News Junkie Post Editor in chief Gilbert Mercier.
