America’s Human Rights Message to China: Do As I Say, Not As I Do!
This does not excuse, by any means, the human rights violations committed by China, or any other country for that matter. This article only addresses America. If America thinks that it is the country to proudly mount a soap-box in defense of human rights and respect for humanity, it needs to take a long, hard, honest look at itself, and broach the subject as a shared challenge rather than with a disingenuous air of superiority. The only American exceptionalism on display here is its exceptional ability to excuse itself for that which it would gladly condemn and prosecute others.
Incarceration Up, Education Down: America’s Cannibalistic Profiteering
The privatization of these crucial social programs has resulted in a situation contradictory to the benefit of society. The rate of incarceration has increased five fold during the same period that the cost of a post secondary education has increased threefold, and all for profit. America’s educational system and technological advances have declined over the same period that the county’s prison population has expanded. These results have benefited private interests while causing lasting and possibly irreparable damage to the nation and it’s citizens.

While it is difficult to ascertain precisely what Palin’s intentions were in carefully choosing these words for her script, it can be certain that the meaning must have import to her. As a self described fundamentalist Christian, her beliefs regarding the imminent return of Jesus, and killing of all non-repentant Jews upon his return, is well known. However, what is much less clear is whether or not she is trying to make a statement about supposed Jewish run media, or supposed left-wing/ Jewish alliances, as it was these that she seemed to be targeting with this comment.

These two people have acted in a way that can arguably be attributed to the cause of the deaths of six individuals, including a federal judge and a young child, as the actions they prescribed – the second amendment remedy against a particularly targeted individual – were being carried out. Incitement to violence? Conspiracy to commit murder? Soliciting a criminal act against a specific individual? Willful disregard? All of these, and perhaps others, are questions that warrant, at least, an investigation.
