Breaking:Violent Clashes Between Zelaya’s Supporters and Police, one Killed

Latest Update: 7:30 PM (US/PST) Supporters of ousted President Zelaya clash with the police, one protester is killed. Zelaya stated from his plane that he will return to Honduras, by road on Monday.

Latest Updates 3:15 PM (PST). The plane of President Zelaya was denied landing by the new Honduran authorities. They gave the  express order to the military to prevent the plane to land.

President Zelaya is still planning to fly back to Honduras later on today, after he was ousted by a military junta coup last week.

In an unprecedented move, the Organization of American States (OAS) suspended Honduras after the refusal of the illegitimate new government to reinstate Zelaya. No country has been excluded from the OAS since the exclusion of Cuba in 1962. The vote took place late last night in Washington, 33 out of 34 members voted in favor of suspending Honduras.

Adding to the pressure, a freezing of millions of dollars in international aid has already hit the country since last week. Further, Hugo Chavez announced that he would stopped oil shipment to Honduras.

Today, Honduras illegitimate authority warned President Zelaya that he would be arrested if he returns. Both side are getting ready for a stand off.

A prominent religious figure has warned that the return of Zelaya could trigger a ” blood bath”. The situation is tense in Honduras, it is under curfew and independent reporting has been challenging.

The possibility of an all out civil war between the two camps in Honduras can not be excluded, despite the growing international pressure.
