Olbermann: Obama is god damned wrong

It is not disloyalty to the Democratic Party to tell the President he is wrong. It is not disloyalty to tell him he is god damned wrong. It is not disloyalty to remind the president that he was elected by people to whom he had given a clear outline for what he would do FOR them, and if he does not steer out of the skid of what he is doing TO them, he may not only not be reelected, he may not even be renominated

First, and foremost, Keith Olbermann was wrong for using God’s name in vain! He should be fined! I agree with President Obama’s decision……….he didn’t want those 2.5 – 4 million people to lose their homes, not have food, electricity, etc because of the REPUBLICANS! I admire what he did and he did the right thing!

  2. Gotta wonder for those who think taking other peoples wealth is ok in greater and greater amounts WTF is wrong with you?

Oberman is a jackass, if he wants the rich to pay more let him put his money where his mouth is, tax season is coming let him forgo deductions, pay the highest rate then for good measure add 25-30 % and send it in, then release his filing publically…untill then he needs to STFU

My first job was from a man I considered rich, by my poor hillbilly standards.
In reality he was simply a medium sized business man who kept several teenaged kids in full time summer and part time winter work as well as kept a couple of adults employed full time.
He lived a middle class lifestyle, and helped innumerable kids get a decent start in life and provided income to much needed poor rural kids and their family, yet in todays thinking by the tax the rich crowd he would have had most of his income taxed to the point he would not be able to stay in business.
Additionally his lifetime accumulated wealth would have been taxed to the point that his heir would have not been able to keep the same business if Mr J had managed to keep the business afloat.
You cant just keep taking more and more and expect these type of people to keep plowing. Anyone who has ever worked a good team of horses knows that by adding weight to the sled eventually any horse will not be able to pull it, and if you beat him he still cannot pull it and won’t even try.

Olbermann’s “sanctimonious” self-indulgent harangue was wrong on four counts, in my book:

    1) The nature of the deal…”cavegate” – a “Angry Left” and media perception, not a reality – as his politically sophisticated and experienced stablemate, Lawrence O’Donnell, pointed out later on in Last Word: “It was absolutely the best deal he could have got in the circumstances”. And as NYTimes put it this morning: “If angry Democrats blow up the deal, they will be left vainly groping for something better in a new Congress where they’ll have even less influence….the middle-class and the unemployed would be seriously hurt. The real responsibility for the tax deal lies with the Republicans – they coldly insisted on the high-end tax cuts at all cost, no matter the further pain inflicted further down the income ladder & staggering cost.”

    2) What Olbermann did was to do exactly what Obama was reacting to – - beat up Obama, based on unrealistic expectation of the tools available to him – an ignorance and tendency to prematurely attack him and mis-label him as “weak”. As Jonathan Capehart put it in Washington Post: “For two years Liberal Democrats have blowtorched Obama as the expectations of hope and change smacked up against the reality of governing…there are some on the left who view compromise as total abandonment.”

    3) 29 million Democrats didn’t vote November 2nd – Liberal Dem leadership who’ve been unrealistically & unjustly attacking Obama (when they should have been attacking the Republicans) are responsible for generating “the enthusiasm gap” which held back many voters. The kind of deranged over-emotional & unjustified anti-Obama angry rhetoric from Olbermann is precisely the kind of BS that demotivates voters.

    4) WTF does he think he is to issue threats to POTUS, as at end of his tirade, that if Obama continues doing this kind of thing…Dems will replace him in 2012. I think because we all campaigned MSNBC to get him reinstated recently, it’s gone to his head & he assumes he’s now a kingmaker. Given that he was accusing Obama wrongly, his insulting threat was even more disgusting and unworthy of him. I campaigned hard for him on twitter, but I’ll be watching Parker-Spitzer until he apologizes to the President on-air and sets the record straight.
