Gay Rights: Of High School Proms and Courage

A few days ago, an 18 year old high school lesbian senior in Itawamba County, Mississippi, Constance McMillen, approached school authorities to let them know in advance that she would be coming with her girlfriend. School officials decided to cancel the entire prom for all students instead.
