Vice President Biden said on Sunday that the Obama administration would not stand in Israel’s way should the latter chooses to take military action to deal with Iran.
VP Biden was on ABC and told George Stephanopoulos that Israel has the right to determine its own course of action with regard to the Iranian nuclear threat, regardless of what the Obama administration choose to do. When asked whether the Obama administration would restrain Israeli military action against Iran, Biden said: “Israel can determine for itself, it is a foreign nation, what is in their interest and what they decide to do relative to Iran & anyone else. If the Netanyahu government decides to take a course of action different from the one being pursued now, that is their sovereign right to do that. That is not our choice.”
Soon after VP Biden’s ABC interview, Admiral Mike Mullen, the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, had to do some damage control on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” He stated: “I have been, for some time, concerned about any strike on Iran. I worry about it being very destabilizing, not just in and of itself, but unintended consequences of a strike like that.”
Thank god Admiral Mike Mullen cleared up THAT misconception! I will never again assume that Israel is a sovereign state. That silly Joe Biden, why DO they let him open his mouth?
LIABILITY????? He’s only a liability if you don’t want to hear the truth. While he is as self serving as the rest of the trolls working with Obozzo, at least he’s stupid enough to let his mouth run before he engages his brain. While the rest of them are just as stupid’ they have no access to a microphone.
