Mousavi Urges Supporters To Keep Fighting

Today, Mousavi urged his supporters to keep working for “the right of the people,” in his first statement since the Guardian Council validated the result of the contested election.
Mousavi is still under a De facto house arrest, and some close to him fear he could be arrested in a matter of days.
“It is not yet too late. It is our historic responsibility to continue our complaints and make all efforts not to give up the right of the people.” Mousavi wrote in a statement.
Iranian authorities are still preventing journalists from international news organizations to report from the streets, they are confined in their offices and hotel rooms.
The government controlled, Fars News Agency said that the Basij militia (the street enforcers/thugs working for Ayatollah Khamenei) sent a prosecutor an accusation letter in regard to Mousavi’s involvement in the street protests. This is yet another sign that Mousavi’s arrest is in the work.
The best option for Mousavi and his supporters could be to call for a general strike, it would be probably the best strategy in the medium term. Mousavi mentioned that option about 10 days ago. A general strike was used against the Shah, it froze all the store, bazaars and oil production and eventually brought the regime to its knees.
Mousavi still posts regular updates on his website.
