Photo Essay: Iran Election One Year Later
The Iranian people took to the polls on 12 June last year. When they woke up the following morning, the Iranian State Media declared that incumbent Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had taken two thirds of the votes. The Islamic Republic’s deception had gone too far this time, and protests erupted across the country on 13 June.
